The complete process, including extraction and placement is performed under local anaesthesia. Patients are very comfortable during the entire process.
Depending on the number of grafts being implanted, the doctor will recommend a treatment plan which will give you an idea of the time involved. Usually the entire process takes approximately 7-8 hours.
The area of implantation and extraction will be sore for a couple of days post the procedure. We will recommend the appropriate post procedure protocol to be followed to ensure you are as comfortable as possible and can resume daily activities.
Following the procedure the patient will be able to observe increased density in the transplanted region. However, it may take 15 days for the scabs in the transplanted area to fall out and the new implanted hair will start noticeable growth at around 2-4 months’ time after surgery. In most cases it can take up to 12-15 months to see best results.
